30 leaves (A4) of gold aluminium
The idea of this project is to collect space fragments by modeling architecture details or objects from the exhibition room with golden aluminium leaves. The sculptures are created during the opening. At the end of the evening they are collected/extracted and presented as a series of sculptures. These sculptures evoke a precious inventory like a collection of rare objects, opening our mind to imagination.
Instead of simply exhibiting the final artistic product, the visitor is included in the entire creative process, including three steps: : Transforming from surface to volume / becoming part of the space / being presented as a sculpture. These three phases offer another point of view of the exhibition space and reflect upon the act of live making/experimenting in a showing space like a gallery.
„The space is not an abstract empty but rather the product of countless concrete moments.“ Gordon Matta-Clark
