The place of the playground is linked to a time that puts the school activity between parenthesis, a break, a space of freedom, a space of meeting, a space of play. Elma Riza underlines this space and its function by making visible an architectural element that is already present, but even perceived as a component of everyday life. The installation becomes visible with a change of perspective, seen from above… As if sometimes we have to take distance to better see the things around us.
Le lieu de la cours de récréation est lié à un temps qui met l’activité scolaire entre parenthèse, une pause, un espace de liberté, un espace de rencontre, un espace de jeu. Elma Riza souligne cet espace et sa fonction en rendant visible un élément architecturale déjà présent, mais jusque la perçu comme un composant du quotidien. L’installation devient visible avec un changement de perspective, vue d’en haut.. Comme si des fois il faut prendre de la distance pour mieux voir les choses qui nous entourent.
