This project was carried out as part of a residency with the participation of children from the Nürtingen Berlin primary school.

A daily journey that is remembered, then transcribed in straight lines on paper, enlarged and sewn on canvas. A sort of memorized labyrinth, where the thread guides us to find the way out. A perception of space through memorization that defies any cartography or objectivity. It is about movement and a perception of a journey modified by impressions, emotions that pass through us and give us the feeling that walking from the subway station to the school is a much greater distance than the subway journey made at the time. A journey simplified by the geometry of the lines, recalling the architectures encountered and integrated (physically) from one point to another.

Ce projet a été réalisé dans le cadre d’une résidence avec la participation des enfants de l’école primaire Nürtingen Berlin.

Un parcours quotidien dont on se souvient, puis retranscrit en lignes droites sur papier, agrandi et cousu sur toile. Une sorte de labyrinthe mémorisé, où le fil nous guide pour retrouver la sortie. Une perception de l’espace par la mémorisation qui défit toute cartographie ou objectivité. Il est question du mouvement et d’une perception d’un trajet modifié par les impressions, émotions qui nous traversent et nous donnent le sentiment que de marcher de la station de métro à l’école, représente une distance beaucoup plus grande que le trajet en métro effectué à l’instant. Un trajet simplifié par une géométrie des lignes, rappelant les architectures rencontrées et intégrées (physiquement) d’un point à l’autre.
