“Imaginäre Topografien” is an installation created „in situ“. The approach was to make visible traces left on the ground by water damage. Starting from this visual detail, Elma Riza drew an imaginary cartography by making visible the lines by tracing them with chalk. In addition to this, there are visual elements that recall the cartographic indications, highlighting certain parts of the drawing in the foreground. The public is invited to move between the lines and finds itself walking on this new invented world.
“Imaginäre Topografien” est une installation créée “in situ”. L’approche consistait à rendre visibles les traces laissées sur le sol par les dégâts des eaux. A partir de ce détail visuel, Elma Riza a dessiné une cartographie imaginaire en rendant visible les lignes en les traçant à la craie. A cela s’ajoutent des éléments visuels qui rappellent les indications cartographiques, en mettant en évidence certaines parties du dessin au premier plan. Le public est invité à se déplacer entre les lignes et se retrouve à marcher sur ce nouveau monde inventé.
