VER_ORTEN
This series of photographs was produced as part of a participatory project organised by The Sudden Starlings Collective and funded by funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg.
In the interdisciplinary project VER_ORTEN from March to July 2024, 18 women between the ages of 16 and 70 sought out favourite, memorable and inspirational places in Werder (Havel) and the surrounding area and explored them through dance and performance. How can we appropriate spaces in different ways? Is a place always already there or do we create it first? What does it mean to VER_ORTEN?
